My name is Amandine
I am the mother of two young children: my daughter, born in 2021, and my son, born in 2023.
For more than 10 years,
I worked in marketing and development for cosmetic brands in Paris and New York.
The world of beauty and care has always been a real passion of mine.
I thought I knew the cosmetics industry well.
And yet, when I became pregnant with my first child, I was surprised and disappointed by the creams for mothers and babies:
- Toxic or concerning ingredients
- Fragrances, allergens, or irritating alcohols—even in natural or organic products
- Active ingredients that haven’t evolved in decades, despite the rapid advancements in dermocosmetic research
- Outdated packaging that’s neither practical to use nor environmentally friendly
After this realization, I became obsessed with an idea :
I wanted to create a new generation of products for us, and for our children. A safer, more modern, more sustainable, and also more effective skincare.
This is how the idea of creating a brand for moms was born. Several months after giving birth to my daughter, I decided to name this brand 'JOLICIRQUE,' as a tribute to the 'joyful chaos' that motherhood brought into my life—and into the lives of so many women.
The plunge into a whole new world, the happiness that makes our hearts burst, the emotional storms, the fears and doubts, the unexpected twists, the laughter and the tears… this overwhelming flood of everything that fills us with joy but sometimes leaves us feeling submerged.
And for me, always, this incredible gratitude for having become a mother.
I wanted to create a brand that celebrates all the beauty and complexity of matrescence.
It took me over two years to develop the Mama Shake.
I wanted the first product in the range to be a simple but expert product. A product that is very different from what is available on the market, as good for mothers as it is for babies. The product had to be able to be applied to babies' faces too, so that mothers who had forgotten to think about themselves when looking for a product for their baby could say to themselves "Oh, why not a product for me too?"
Because our babies deserve the best... But so do we.
The Mama Shake invites all moms and moms-to-be to finally take a moment for themselves, whether they have 5 seconds, 5 minutes or 35 minutes. Anywhere, anytime. Even in the midst of chaos. 🩵
